CHYRON’S HYPERX3 GRAPHICS SYSTEMS
IN FIRST EVER LIVE SIX NATIONS
3D RUGBY MATCH

London, UK – February 4, 2010: Chyron (NASDAQ: CHYR) announced today that its HyperX3 graphic system will be providing 3D stereoscopic graphics for the live broadcast of the Six Nations Rugby match of England vs. Wales on February 6. Chyron is partnering with Inition, SIS Live and Wurmsers for the event, which is sponsored by O2.

The broadcast from Twickenham Stadium will be seen in more than 40, 3D-equipped cinemas around the UK. This anticipated match will be the first ever live 3D broadcast of rugby worldwide.  The fans watching in the cinemas are in for a treat as they will actually feel like they have the best seats in the house.

Wurmsers is using Chyron’s HyperX3 graphics system with Lyric PRO which has the benefit of 3D Stereoscopic tools as a standard feature. The support of Chyron’s Creative Services department was instrumental in helping with the 3D graphic design to ensure the viewer sees and feels the 3D experience from the match as well as the on air graphics.

Chicago Graphics Showcase Announced

Chyron and Roscor Corporation are pleased to announce that a one day graphics showcase open house will be conducted at the TheWit Doubletree Hotel in downtown Chicago on Tuesday, January 26th. Come see why over 5000 customers a day are using “Chyron in the Cloud.”

Chicago Graphics Event

Attention all Chyron Operators!!  Chyron is exploring the possibility of holding a Client Open House and Appreciation Cocktail Event at the end of January 2010 in Chicago.  This will be a chance for Chyron to give thanks to our operators as well as an opportunity for you to get together, network and discuss operational and design tips other operators and Chyron staff.  We would like to ask your feedback as to whether you would be interested in attending this type of event by Friday, December 18, 2009.

WPSD-TV Strengthens Brand With Chyron Channel Box

Chyron announces that WPSD-TV, Paducah, Kentucky, has added Chyron’s “Channel Box” channel branding and automated promo system to its local broadcast operations.

Mark Hall, Operations Director, WPSD-TV said, “We have been a ‘Chyron station’ since the ‘70s. Channel Box was originally strictly a branding machine but it has evolved into much more than that. What really turned my head is the fact that Channel Box is now fully integrated with the Lyric PRO rendering software. We have been running on Chyron’s HyperX graphics platform for years, which includes Lyric PRO, and the advantages of Channel Box’s integration with Lyric PRO are huge.

“Another primary reason for selecting Channel Box is its HD capabilities. We are the only regional broadcaster to offer syndicated programming in HD. Our rapidly growing number of HD viewers were becoming quite vocal when we switched back and forth between SD and HD, so we now remain in HD all the time, which Channel Box has enabled us to do.”

Channel Box incorporates the 3D animation capabilities that are common to Lyric PRO. The playout control of tickers, crawls, snypes, self adjusting promos and end credits can easily be done manually or with automation.

Hall added, “Chyron’s sales and support has been incredible. I have yet to speak with anyone at Chyron who didn’t fully understand my needs, not just technically but from a practical, hands-on graphics point of view. They really grasp the situation.”

In addition to the Channel Box, HyperX and Lyric PRO, WPSD-TV also uses CAMIO, Chyron’s graphic asset management server and iSQ which controls multiple channels of HyperX from a single position.

Chyron COO Kevin Prince said, “We have been working with WPSD-TV for more than 30 years as they have progressed through modernizing workflows and improving graphics capabilities and it’s an association in which we are very proud.
