The announcement was made today by Philip Paully, Director of Graphics Engineering and Operations, NBC Olympics and Michael Wellesley-Wesley, CEO, Chyron.

The HyperX3 systems will be utilized for on-air NBC-generated graphics being broadcast from the International Broadcast Center (IBC), as well as remote venues. Wellesley-Wesley said, “We are proud to be a part of the on-going broadcasting history that is NBC’s production of the Olympic Winter Games.”

Paully said, “The HyperX3 systems offer us the ability to display more intricate graphics at a speed much faster than previously capable in a live-to-air graphics production.”
