Chyron announced that sit-up shopping, one of the largest and fastest-growing TV retailers in the U.K., has upgraded to a HyperX³ on-air graphics system, giving its broadcast presence a new look, thanks to the Chyron Creative Services team. Together, the HyperX³ system and graphics upgrade improve the quality and continuity of on-screen content while making it easier for sit-up shopping staff to enhance programming with motion graphics and 3D text elements. sit-up shopping launched the new look on its bid tv channel as part of a tenth birthday celebration, and the retailer will launch new looks for its price-drop tv and speed auction tv channels in early 2011.

KTBS 3 installed its Chyron HyperX³ on-air graphics system, including the award-winning Lyric® PRO 8 motion graphics feature set, during its upgrade to HD broadcasting. The station implemented the Touch GraphX feature especially for the Nov. 2 election. Unlike competing high-end touch screen graphics solutions which require complex programming or scripting, Chyron’s Touch GraphX enables fast, simple association of graphics to hot spots on the screen. This intuitive interface combines with graphics creation templates to simplify preparation for broadcast and live operation by on-camera talent. Because Touch GraphX requires minimal training, broadcasters can introduce more dynamic presentation of graphics with speed and ease.

In preparation for Election Day, Chyron worked closely on site with the KTBS 3 production team to ensure smooth implementation within the existing broadcast workflow and to tune the station’s graphic design for optimal presentation on the touch screen monitor. Anchors used the touch screen graphics to highlight and isolate different races, spotlight competing candidates, and move from those images to actual results.
